The Opening Set took a trip down to one of the few true country bars in Southern California, Cowboy Country located in Long Beach, CA. What a great scene and atmosphere there! Complete with 2 dance floors, an upstairs and downstairs with a fully stocked bar on each floor, food service, pool tables, a great crowd of all ages, a DJ providing the tunes while the bands take a break and all your favorite line dances throughout the night.
For the live entertainment that night, it was “Merchants of Moonshine“. A country rock band that mixed in several styles of country music very nicely. I might add that the guitar player did a nice little trick that I have never seen done before that got a nice pop from the crowd. So if you want to see what I am talking about, go check these guys (and gal) out at one of their live gigs.
