What game is better? In the last few years this was an easy question to answer. 2K Sports NBA 2K franchise has been the king of NBA video games for most gamers beating EA Sport’s NBA Live with relative ease, as indicated by sales numbers, reviews, and overall user feedback on many gaming websites. However, this year is a bit different. Though 2K is still beating Live’s sales numbers, ask any serious, unbiased gamer and they will probably agree that the gap between the two games has been narrowed by a good margin.

EA brought a huge upgrade to the presentation and atmosphere aspect of their game this year, as well as a very responsive “dribble moves” system that (in my opinion) tops 2K’s “Iso-motion” controls. That being said, I still prefer NBA 2K10. It has a very deep “association” mode, the amount of very realistic animations is excellent, and the commentary is some of the best in sports gaming.

Both games have there fair share of bugs and glitches, but I guess it comes down to what you can put up with and what you can’t. I put together a quick little video showing off some of the gameplay of both games. You Make The Call!
