You Make The Call! - FIFA Soccer 10 vs Pro Evolution Soccer 2010
Posted by Jay on Jan 6, 2010 in Gaming • 1 commentThis one is a real toss up for me. I can play both games and get enjoyment out of both. I might give the slight edge to FIFA 10 only because it has the MLS license and I am an L.A. Galaxy fan, though any team can also be created in PES 2010 as well. PES on the other hand has an exclusive license with the UEFA, thus including the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
The overall gameplay is more smooth and fluid in FIFA 10. The animations look and feel more real compared to PES 2010. I also feel that FIFA has a more “sim” feel to it as well with a slower game speed. PES 2010 has somewhat of an “arcade” feel to it, which is not really a bad thing all the time. Some people prefer that style of gameplay. I also prefer the shooting and shooting mechanics in PES 2010. The shots actually feel like they have some power behind them. With FIFA 10, it feels like there is no mid-power shots. It’s either a weak, slow shot or a booming strike that goes over.
Graphics on both games is well done. FIFA gets the edge as far as the pitch is concerned. It sports some nice grass textures and colors. PES gets the nod as far as player models and likeness.
Both games have their fair share of game modes but I won’t get into that. I am mostly an offline gamer where gameplay is my top priority when it comes to sports gaming.
So what’s better? You Make The Call!
